it is NOT i repeat NOT recommended that you use gabapentin for bipolar disorder.

that's just a snipit from many sites on google about this.
i recommend lamictal for an effective mood stabilizer...
no weight gain...hardly any bad side effects..doesn't make you a zombie like lithium does....and it's for long term use.
