Look on back of your card. It should have a # for Mental health / substance abuse. (Its case managed by a different company than BCBS) There are several companies that manage MH plans for BCBS, and they all have differnet plans and fees. Call them and they can give you a list of there approved providers in your area and those providers specialties. If you do that, it will be far cheaper than asking the individual offices if they accept your ins. Its my experience that offices will tell you they "in network" however when it comes down to it they are only 50% certified with the company,, thus leaving you with responsibility for 50% of the bill. BCBS is usually good about allowing there members to see a counselor, so I don't think you have too much to worry about.

Usually you have to pay $25 and the insurance will pay the other $25 so that the therapist gets $50.
Just call your insurance co.

PS If you have a therapist already, just go to him/her and give him/her your insurance data and they will set up the payments.

You can also get 6 free sessions through your job usually.

We have bc&bs and therapists are covered. Call your insurance company to find out the rules though.

Call your health coach. Blue Cross has that service, you know.
Your HR person can help you find that information on the BlueCross website.

I sure hope so. Contact your isurance and ask them.
Ask them about co-pay, and how many visits are covered.
I think insurance companies provide the minimum number of services for mental health, but worth a shot.

Mine does.....but you have to read your own policy, then call your health insurance place to find out. You usually have to pay a small co payment, so it is not totally free.

Some insurance companies do and some don't. Ask your insurance representative about it.

Almost all insurance carriers pay for at least a portion of seeing a therapist. I'm interested in why you didn't just call your carrier to find out. It would have been quicker than typing in the question and reading all these opinons. These people are trying to be helpful but you are wasting your time and theirs by asking a question only your insurance carrier can answer.
