Draw up a contract governing computer use with your parents, for example 1 hour per day. If you have homework to do that requires more time, ask a parent to monitor you so you are actually doing the work, not playing. They would most likely be very pleased to see you off the computer & trying to interact in real time, face to face..Look for other opportunities to meet people, such as clubs, the gym, classes, church,,,,there are lots of possibilities..
I wish you good luck..it can be done, because I've had to limit myself as well..

I totally understand where you are coming from. It is so easy to become addicted to the computer.

My advice is to not give it up completely, but try to spend less time online. Maybe you could pick up a new hobby or simply take a 20min walk around your neighborhood. Just find things that interest you other than the computer. good luck :)

The best answer I can think of is either throwing it away or giving it to someone else. If you don't want to lose your computer forever, you could attempt to do other things, such as get a boyfriend/girlfriend or watch tv. Or exercise. ect...

Get rid of the computer ... No computer , no temptation
You have a serious compulsion .. you may actually need help from a psychologist .
You need to do something about this if you are to have a normal life .

Give yourself a set amount of internet time a day. If you have one hour on internet, break it up in 3 20 minutes or what ever you want. Just stick to your limit. If you get bored, call a friend, go visit someone, or read a book. Just keep yourself busy.
