Im only 19 & my friend is 33 and im worried she is suffering from bipolar, how d!

Question: She is very up`min n then right back down the next, she has self harmed, run away from her husband and is always putting herself down! Her husband does not really help as he always puts her down and makes her feel worthless, somedays she does not get out of bed till gone 2.30pm and she has 3 children. I really want to help her as much as i can without hubby thinkin im interfering but its really hard...she has had a very bad life, including physical and mental abuse from her dad and then being raped when she was a teenager the story is really quite upsetting but her mum wont believe that her dad did such a thing so its a difficult situation. I`ve told her that i will be there for her 100% and so as her hubby but she has never had a proper friend before so it`s all quite new to her although she is older i think i maybe wiser, she is booking an appointment at the dr`s and im going for support but what else can i do? also she drinks almost everynight and ends up in tears! Hellp plz!!

does she have a reason to be depressed?

If so shes not suffering from "bipolar".

Same with being depressed. How can you say anyone has depression (no proof on paper -- aka no blood tests to prove it, brain scans are BS, and a psychiatrist is just another human being) seriously, how can you have depression when youre already depressed about something severely depressing.

depression: chemical imbalance in the brain (still not proven -- no blood tests for serotonin and dopamine) uhh so yeah..if she has NO reason what so ever . yeah sure she might be "biploar" ,,,,but if she has reason(s) to be depressed its no "mental disorder" its called being human

Edit: Advice: just support her as best as you can.

Sincerely,
Jsmooth
