I have tried many meds for so called depression with minimal success.
what ever med your doctor puts you on do not yo-yo them because they tend to not work at all even if you switch prescription.
each time you are put on a med get the insert that comes with the med the pharmacist gets so you understand how it work and the side effects. some of the information isn't listed anywhere else. the first med i took i had a really bad reaction. first off i could check off a new side effect daily. at the time i was told to give the med time to work cause it can take up to 6 months to get the maximum benefits. 3 months into the med it took away 100% of my hearing in my left ear and gave me relentlous tinnitis. Oh, and lots of worry
