don't start doing things like that...

self-injury is a horrible evil road to go down.

e-mail me if you want, I've had those thoughts and also acted on them.

The world is a scary place when you have to wear long-sleeves all the time and no matter what you do or feel, you deal with it with self-injury...

I've since stopped with the S-I, but the urge is definitely still there. S-I is brutal and can take many forms... aside from cutting I also used pills to S-I, that is even more dangerous than cutting, at least I think so.

Believe me, don't go down that road, it will make things worse.

As far as getting help, I don't know, I'm kind of in the same boat as you, I am too nervous to get professional help and I don't want my family knowing all of my issues.

Talk to a therapist. There must be some underlying issue in your life that's causing this. The therapist will help you figure out what this is.

hmm.. i know how ya feel .. i cut myself..

Well, at least you are not acting on those self injurous thoughts. Try talking to someone, anyone about your life in general. Find ways to vent. Healthy ones.

therapist is the way to go

You can call your county health department for a referral.

You may not have a mental illness. It may be a blood sugar imbalance. Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) can cause me to have bad thoughts of people I know dying in horrible ways at times.

When I have these thoughts, I breathe deeply 4 or 5 times, in and out. This oxygenates the blood, and helps stimulate the release of blood sugar from the liver. The brain will sense it is getting more/enough blood sugar, and will quit producing thoughts aimed at stimulating adrenaline (thoughts of pain or death).

Long term, when I catch myself thinking bad thoughts, I go get something to eat that slowly raises blood sugar, like meat/tuna and nuts (peanut butter, too), or non-sweet fruit like apples or berries.

Don't underestimate your parents. Tell them and face the problem head on.

Make an appointment with your doctor.

If you dont like your doc ask around see if there is one who is especially well thought of for being kind and sensitive.

You dont have to tell anyone why you are going - if you dont want your parents to know why just say urine infection or something.

If you are worried you wont be able to put your exact feelings into words write it down and hand it to the doc when you walk in and make it clear that you want help for these thoughts.

If it is an immediate problem where you fear for your safety right now ring the hospital/turn up in the emergency dep/call an ambulence/ring a helpline/ call docs and ask to see a nurse or emergency doc - just dont act on your thoughts until you have tried really hard to reach out for help (you may need to ask a few times to get the help you need and want so dont give up or give in). If non of these options are likely at the moment then keep yourself calm and safe. If it is night time and too late for you to deal with this until the morning then have a warm bath, wrap up warm and just generally treat yourself kindly as you would treat a person who is feeling unwell or miserable - keep yourself as ok as you can until you are in a position to get the help you need.

You are not alone with these thoughts so they will have heard this level of pain before and know what to do. There is no medical diognosis of 'Freak' so your parents will have misdiognoised you if they ever call you a freak - perhaps over stressed/anxiety/depression might be more likely the cause rather then 'Freakness'. Your reactions sound like human reactions some humans have to stress it is not any deficite in you as a person but it is a sign you need help rather then bottling up your thoughts and pain.

GOOD LUCK.
When you find help and start feeling better you will be so so glad you took the first step xx

My parents are helpful when i have thoughts like that. It is normal to have the occasional thought. Most people dont act on them (U would see...well) Try to occupy yourself anouther way

Stop thinking you can't stop yourself.

I kno how u feel trust me my life is so ****** up i cant fix it so i hurt myself 2 get rid of other pain. cuttin helps me but i hate tht i do the things i do but i hav 2 so i dont kill myself.
first i tryed talkin 2 friends but the said the hav givin up on me
try therapy or talkin 2 friends but ur not allown trust me i tell myself im pretty but really i hate myself more then anythin

think bout this
HOLD ONTO LIFE, EVEN IF ITS EASIER 2 LET GO

My friend you need to see a therapist and tell them how you feel. Sure your parents don't understand heck mine barely understand me.....just don't do anything crazy.....I'm different as well...but at the same time I'm not going to let no one stop me from being well me.......same goes to you. We all have rough times and life itself and yet we manage to survive our troubles. You're stronger than that. You can fight back! Just keep your head up. Hope I helped any.

maybe you can go to therapy or something..just think about all of the good things you do, dont worry about the bad things...you only live your life once..live it the best you can and dont worry about all the bad stuff...just relax and have fun :)
