How do you get past times when you are depressed?!


Question: Thankx! I need all the help I can get! Nobody realizes that I am sometimes because I seem to have the perfect life "sometimes".

Most people drink but drink only make the depression worse..
Stay clear of things like Coffee, Energy Drinks, Smoking.

I find the best thing is laughter and spend time looking at your own faults and look at improving yourself rather than blaming everyone around you.

Take up sport - Swimming, Running etc - its also a good way to make new and exciting friends.

Hope you feel better soon - Depression is a mind set and you maybe remove yourself from the things depressing you these normally come in the form of being unhappy at work, Debt, Unhappy relationship, Lack of sleep.

Debt - You can get help to help reduce debt - credit cards can be moved to 0% cards some offer 12 months interest free.

Relationship - Seek cancelling, sit with your partner and explain the situation - theres nothing like being left in the dark when your suffering alone.

Work - Try training for a new skill or leave - most people think jobs are for life - they are only a means to pay the bills and make money - my advice if your unhappy move on.

Sleep - Stop drinking coffee try chamomile tea, do not smoke try Patches, Gum and stay off drink. have a warm bath before bed add vic bath soak really helps.

There are so many methods of trying to combat depression. I think one of the easiest ones is: when you are feeling good, write down a list of activities that make you feel happy. Then, when you're depressed, go to that list and try doing some things on the list and see if that raises your spirits.

The trick is to write it down, not just keep a mental list. Because when you are feeling down, it's almost guaranteed that you will not think of many things that make you feel good.

When I'm depressed I write songs, Poems and storys
I also listen to music or just go outside by myself and sit somewhere and play with my dogs

Depresion is a state of mind. Think of all the happy things in your sometimes perfect life. Find happy music, go out with friends, do anything positive. It may seem diffucult at first but just keep fighting back. G

and never too late by three days grace

I listen to music that makes me happy - pleasant and upbeat. That helps a lot!

i wish i could help you but i think i'm depressed too.
