Niece in college is depressed, what to do to cheer her up?!

Question: My niece is in her 3rd yr of college and my sister told me she's getting more and more depressed and doesn't want to talk about it and keeps to herself, sleeps alot, doesn't hang out w/her friends anymore.
Her cat just died and she may be having sexual identity issues, plus she is on an athletic team with a rigorous schedule. My sister suggested she go to a therapist, but not sure if she will go. Is there anything I can do to cheer her up or help her?

CARE PACKAGES ARE AMAZING!
when you get a box of goodies in college it tends to cheer everyone up =]
fill it with snacks, books and other things she enjoys!

im a freshman in college right now and i know it can be stressful and depressing. i have my moments too.

the best thing you can do is be there for her...

and buy her things. new kitty would be good!

college is difficult maybe tell her to loosen her schedule and watever she does support is the main thing try to talk to her and see wats bothering her...i suggest talking with her and personally i suggest not to go with the therapist and handle it within the famaly...

try to take her out...maybe buy her a new kitten, life goes on....

best of luck to u and your niece
