I would ask myself: What would I gain by cutting myself. If no gain , then just tell yourself that I use to do that, and I prefer that I don't resume the behavior. Many people have done things to themselves ,but don't repeat the pattern. Your thinking is normal so don't dwell on it.

i cut....i been doing it a year now. i can go a few weeks without doing it...then it just comes..the urge. i was so stressed this week..i walked out on my boss..and just things were crazy. i controlled myself and didn't cut. i wanna now but im too tired and im busy with wrestling questions over here. but i know i a couple days im going to have to or i will feel it. i can't explain it. just stay away from it. get it off your mind. go out and have friends or someone stay with you (if they know or not)...just so you get it off your mind and not do it. the urge will go away then you can keep this good streak going. good luck!

pls try and remember how you felt the next day with the scars you had made i have been there and i know how hard it is..but you have been free of this for 3 years you have done so well!!! iknow cause i have been there maybe a therapist to identify why you are doing this or have the tendancy to do so???there are many reasons ppl do this take care and keep on the road to recovery you are doing well

You are doing so good - this is a temporary set back in your thinking that requires immediate attention before it becomes out of control. Get help now, BEFORE you start cutting again -seriously, see a psychologist right away.
