Hey dear. Thoughts can lead to action in a weak moment. Go ahead and tell your counselor especially since you guys are close. Also let the counselor know about your fear of being sent away etc. Be assured that there is help out there for these thoughts and keep in mind that your parents have the best intentions for you even though they may not know how to help or it may seem otherwise.

P.S. being on medication can increase suicidal thoughts.

Yes, you should tell your counselor, especially if you are close. She may need to tell your parents, I am not sure. But you do need professional help.

It's very good that you know you will not hurt yourself, but counseling will help with the thoughts.

Good luck

Tell her exactly what you told us.
Tell her that you have no intention of hurting yourself or anyone else and that you would rather her not tell your parents.
The best way to tell someone something like this is to be truthful.

Good luck!

you have to tell SOMEONE. just tell your counselor that you want this to stay between you, but you'd like to talk to someone about what you're feeling. if you don't seek help, you won't get better.
good luck.

My sister is bipolar and all our life she has had thoughts of death. It wasn't until we were older that she told a counselor and she started to receive help. She is now on medication and no longer has these thoughts. it was a hard time for her, as I am sure it is for you. i believe counselors are supposed to let parents in on death and suicide thoughts. Even so only by opening up will you get help.

Just say exactly what you just told us. If needs be, write her a note. Either way, get it off your chest. You'll feel better and she'll know what to do.

You should tell her exactly as you explained it here. You can say, "Ms. So and So, I feel that I can confide in you and I want to get this off my chest". Then go ahead and tell her that you can't control these thoughts but you do not want to hurt yourself. She can give you the support you need to learn what is causing the thoughts and how you can begin to control them. I wish you the best!

you have to tell someone. i'm warning you that if you do, though, she, under law, has to take action. This is not a small thing. believe me, i've had suicidal thoughts before, i know what you are feeling. But you have to tell someone.

just tell her but say its not like you wanna hurt yourself but you just cant get them off yo chest so you just had to tell her and smile and do a lil giggle wit it

dont keep the thoughts to yourself
they will stay inside you and fester till you finaly act

tell your counselor

yeah you should tottaly tell your counsler its better to have somone help you and not go through it yourself alone. If you dont want it to go farther than just talk to yuor counseler about it.They may have special groups you can go to during school and thats all no need to worry
