I cant start to say words somethings? name?!


Question: sometimes i'll be in class.. or even talking to a friend on the phone and I won't be able to answer what i wana say... lets say i have the word "Tea" I want to say "tea" its in my head! i kno it's what i'm about to say.. but it doesnt come out.. i make the movement im suposed to but its like my vocal cords stop working when i try to say it... i used to go for speech classes when i was younger and it helped my stuttering which i dont do anymore, but I still freeze before words somtimes.. what is this called??

you are still in need of speech therapy ..Talk to your counselor at school, & explain what is happening to you & how it is affecting your self-esteem. Get your parents to lobby for help as well. Growing up is hard enough when you don't have to grapple with this sort of problem..

It is still probably a stutter. That is what I was going to suggest until I read the part where you said you took speech classes for stuttering. It is just a speech impairment and you should probably try taking up one of those classes again just to help you out with the pause. I think it would still be a stutter. Thats what it sounds like to me the way you described it. But, if its not that big of a deal to you then I would just let it be.
