may i help?...
depression has different types according from the book i have read on depression... mental,physical,etc...
you can fight depression by having recreation/relaxing time, exercise, establishing your social life and there is something more than that.....email me if you wanna know 'bout it friend...
try also not to be so self-conscious or self-centered.... you might not agree with me that sometimes you are like that but its normal for people to be self-centered... sometimes, they cannot just notice it.....
try meditating, listen to relaxing music....:-)
hope you'll get through it, and i believe you will

get a hobby which involes a litlle socializing in it and have fun. at the same time focus on your career

Be with real friends and talk to them. That will help ease the fear to some extent. If u need guidance, talk to a qualified adult. Good luck!

Exercise is highly recommended for depression. That and go see a doctor.

Stop looking at where you are going and look at were you are, live in the moment. Life is too short to worry or to be so focused on the future you forget to live now. The universe will look after you and you will find the right path. If you don't take an opportunity now, there will always be another one in the future.

I'm not sure if this is a proper answer, but here... I am afraid to fail. I'm afraid not getting what I want. I fear others and their intentions, good or bad. I regret past decisions. I regret the harm that I have done to others and scorn the harm that has been done to me.

I don't believe it is depression. I have depression, and I don't know that you have it without more info.

Awe, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling this way and having a difficult time with it but honestly, we can all feel this type of anxiety. It's how you choose to deal with it that should be your concern.

I'd try keeping a journal and really being honest about what triggers these types of feelings. Once you see a pattern then you will have a better understanding of where your problem is. Of course, I don't know your entire situation so it's hard to help with so little information.

Just know that there are many helpful resources when you are feeling this way. Here are a few that I have used in my similar situations. I hope they help. Know that failing at something is not always a bad thing, dear. It's the path to learning. Failure is difficult to accept but then again it can also be inspiration to try other ways of accomplishing your goals.

Good luck, dear and keep your chin up! big hugs!! -Shell

good quote for this question would be: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi

Depression shows up in many different ways. People don't always realise what's going on, because their problems sometimes seem to be physical, not mental. They tell themselves they're simply under the weather or feeling tired. But, if a person can tick off five or more of the following symptoms, it's likely that they are depressed.
being restless and agitated;
waking up early, having difficulty sleeping or sleeping more;
feeling tired and lacking energy; doing less and less;
using more tobacco, alcohol or other drugs than usual;
not eating properly and losing or putting on weight;
crying a lot;
difficulty remembering things;
physical aches and pains with no physical cause;
feeling low-spirited for much of the time, every day;
being unusually irritable or impatient;
getting no pleasure out of life or what they usually enjoy;
losing interest in sex;
finding it hard to concentrate or make decisions;
self-blame and feeling unnecessarily guilty about things;
lacking self confidence and self esteem;
being preoccupied with negative thoughts;
feeling numb, empty, desparing;
feeling helpless;
distancing oneself from others, not asking for support;
taking a bleak pessemistic view of the future;
experiencing a sense of unreality;
self harming;
thinking about suicide.
Most people diagnosed with depression are treated by their family doctor, although a small minority of people may be refered to a psychiatrist or a member of the local Community Mental Health Team for more specialised help. Depending on the person's symptoms, the severity of the depression, and their circumstances, the doctor may suggest anti-depressant drugs, some form of talking treatment or a combination of both.

the enjoy yourself, participate in more activities with you friends or join a club at school. If it's an academic problem, work it out with your teachers and parents. If it's a social problem, talk to a counsellor or your parents. Parents are a big help in life, they give you advice on what to do so talk to them about your issues and they should sort it out.
good luck on achieving a better life.

1) Get Enough Light and Sunshine.

Lack of exposure to sunlight is responsible for the secretion of the hormone melatonin, which could triggera dispirited mood and a lethargic condition.

Melatonin is only produced in the dark. It lowers thebody temperature and makes you feel sluggish. If youare always couped up in your room (with the curtainsclosed), it would be difficult to restrain yourself from staying in bed.

This is the reason why many people are suffering fromdepression much more often in winter than in the otherseasons. It's because the nights are longer.

If you can't afford to get some sunshine, you can always lighten up your room with brighter lights.Have lunch outside the office. Take frequent walksinstead of driving your car over short distances.

2) Get Busy. Get Inspired.

You'll be more likely to overcome any feeling ofdepression if you are too busy to notice it. Live a life full of inspired activities.

Do the things you love. If you're a little short on cash, you could engage in simple stuffs like taking a leisurely stroll in the park, playingsports, reading books, or engaging in any activity that you have passion for and would love to pursue.

Set a goal - a meaningful purpose in life. No matter how difficult or discouraging life can be,remain firm and have an unshakable belief that youare capable of doing anything you desire. With this kind of positive attitude, you will attaina cheerful disposition to beat the blues.

3) Take a Break.

I mean it.

Listen to soothing music. Soak in a nice warm bath. Ask one of your close friends to massage you. Take a break from your stressful workload and spend the day just goofing around. In other words, have fun.

4) Eat Right and Stay Fit.

Avoid foods with lots of sugar, caffeine, or alcohol. Sugar and caffeine may give you abrief moment of energy; but they would later bring about anxiety , tension, and internal problems. Alcohol is a depressant. Many peoplewould drink alcohol to "forget their problems."They're just aggravating their conditions in theprocess.

Exercising regularly is a vital depression busterbecause it allows your body to produce more endorphins than usual. Endorphins are sometimes called "the happy chemicals" because of theirstress-reducing and happiness-inducing properties.

5) Get a Social Life.

No man is an island. Your circle of friends are there to give you moral support. Spending timeand engaging in worthwhile activities with them could give you a very satisfying feeling. Nothing feels better than having group support.

Never underestimate the power of touch. Doesn't it feel so good when someone pats you on the backand gives you words of encouragements during yourmost challenging times? Hug or embrace someonetoday. You'll never know when you have saved another life.

Get intimate. Establish close ties with your family and friends. The love and care expressedby others could tremendously boost your immune system and fend off illnesses. Best of all, you'll live a more secured and happy life.

Yeah people always say get a hobby and little do they know its not as simple as that. When you're depressed you lose you're motivation and self-esteem I know from personal experience.

The main point is why are you depressed? If it's because you feel alone then try and start a conversation with people whenever you can. Joining a club and jumping straight into a whole crowd of people you don't know can be intimidating and scary and ultimately make you feel worse.
