What should I do if my college roommate is a bully to me?!

Question: I am a 23 year old electrial engineering senior who has a roommate that have bullying me since last week. Last week he called me degrading names such as ugly fat clumsy autistic and doofus because I did not allow him to use my computer in the night to submit an assignment on time and he lost 10 points when he went to the library the following morning. In anger I had physically attacked me when he call me these degrading names and he had kept punching me in my head, neck, and back until I had bite one of his fingers and ran to my bedroom. Two days ago I I showed him the official complaint that I filed to student housing against him and he hit me across my head with it 3 times. This morning I told him see my donuts you will no longer get any you meanie and he took two of my cherry filled donuts out of box and smashed it over my clothes and face he then took my donut box and emptied all of my donuts in the mud outside and told me thats why I am a fat ugly autistic nerd face.

You need to do more than that. Go over to the police department and file a complaint for physical assault. If anything, that'll leave a paper trail, especially if sometime in self-defense you physically injure him greatly in stopping his attack. In addition to that, get a lawyer and have him/her write the university that they will be held liable if you get physically injured. Usually the university ombudsman won't help you take legal action against the university, so you'll have to go to a law office. Some may not even charge you any money just to give you advice. You can also make an appointment to see the university ombudsman, who is a lawyer at my university, although they can't help with taking legal action against the university, they could probably give you great advice on your room mate. If you pay student fees, at my university, the ombudsman (lawyer) doesn't cost anything to give you advice. If housing doesn't do anything too soon, I would strongly encourage you to set up an appointment with the university president (probably will only get an assistant if you do that), just walk into the university president's office area and ask to make an appointment because you're being "physically assaulted" and need it to stop. You can also talk with the campus judicial officer head guy.

Make sure you not only use the words "My room mate is bullying me," but also, "He is physically assaulting me and punches me in the head!" Tell them that you worry about him retaliating against you, and they can help you out.

Even if housing does something about it, I'd definitely make an appointment with the university ombudsman, and ask about legal advice, for example if he retaliates because they change you rooms. Make an appointment tomorrow! You can always call the university's main number and ask how to get a hold of the ombudsman or if there's a lawyer that students have access to because of their student fees or someone else that can give legal advice.

Invest in karate lessons and whoop his ***

He's a looser, file for a new roomate and tell him to F*CK OFF. Dont take abuse!

You shouldnt put up with his bullying you should report him by the sound of things hes not going to stop until you do something about it.

lol dude, wtf, if some1 bullys you, hit them, if u get you butt whooped then its kool b/c 80% of the time after you fight him, he knows ur not scared of him and he'll leave you alone

Wow, by the looks of it, you're in a severe abusive relationship with him. Report him to the school, tell them he's harassing you. What he's doing could be against the law, you know. Physically attacking someone is just not right.

Derek,
The two of you stopped being children at age 18. Adults do not have the right to hit other people. It is time that you called in the local police and filed charges against this guy. He could do things that are far more damaging to you and to others. An arrest may be the wake up he needs to change his behavior. I also highly suggest that you get a restraining order against him. That would mean he is the one who has to find a place to live and he can no longer threaten you.
Don't feel bad or shy about filing a criminal complaint against him. He gave you no choice when he hit you the first time. Name call can also be considered assault.
Good luck.

Kik his f****** a** !!!!!!

Or sue him for assault for enough that he won't have the money to stay in college

Look you guys - this is not a real question. This guy is making up a story just to see what gullible people's responses will be.

it sounds to me like there's some serious sexual tension between you and your roommate and you boys need to indulge yourselves and get it over with.
trust me, a little relief in the form of sexual favors can do wonders.
when your roommate came out of the shower, did he slip the towel off a little bit, in the hopes that you would take a cheap glance?
and if so, did you like it?
i really think you need to be honest with yourself and face this "head on"
you really need to "get it off" your chest or maybe "get it off" HIS.

i think this guy needs to spend some time in the big house
