What antidepressant is it when you have to take a shot or an injection? Please h!


Question: Anti-depressants are not normally given by injection but normally as a pill form.Anti-psychotics are the normal injectables and is used to treat things such as schizophrenia and even bi-polar .As an injection it's usually given 1-2 times a month to maintain the level of medicine as therapeutic.

I don't know. There are probably some that are given more frequently by injection than others just because your GI tract breaks them down when swallowed. Lithium comes to mind as something that used to be given to patients that were manic depressive. But I'm not really sure.
