everyone needs help somewhere in their life
try asking for help here is one step
some can give good advice but not all acceptable to listen

Start with a therapist or a self help hotline....

not hard to find takes very little... most businesses offer some kind of support for synmptoms such as these and if your talking about school age the resources are usually more avaliable and accessible.

Yes of course they should get help that's awful. Everyone needs love & affection & attention so give it to them if they are crying out for it. You never know it might save a life.

Yes - if you are in school, see your school nurse or counsellor or go to your GP. You can do any of these without your parents being involved.
If you are adult, go to your GP or phone your local mental health services helpline. Services do vary but some early intervention services will take self-referrals, others only through a GP. Best wishes

Of course they should get some help.
The first best step would be to go and see their doctor, he/she can advise the next best thing to do.

Yes, they--you--should get help. A councilor, therapist, parent, trusted adult ( if you are a kid), or else call the suicide hotline. Crap, I forgot the number- look it up online.
