When I stopped taking the Lexapro, I "weaned" off it very slowly - 5mg for a couple weeks, then I split them in half to 2.5mg for a week, then the 2.5mg every-other-day for a week, and stopped. I had "brain zaps" that went on for two to three weeks - and got less and less frequent and finally stopped. It is an actual drug withdrawal - and it's not a lot of fun. Good Luck to you!
mine lasted 3 weeks. do u have 10 mg pills? the doctor had to ween me off taking very low doses slowly less and less often.
The side effects can go on for a while depending on how long you were taking the Lexapro. I am surprised that your Dr took you off and placed you on an herbal remedy, they usually dont do that or beleive in them.
i hate lexapro i hate it i hate it, my dizziness lasted 2 weeks after i stopped taking it,
