of course the mri's didn't show anything. there is nothing wrong with you. you have nightmares because of what you have lived through and witnessed and that is understandable. who wouldn't. you're not the one with the problem, your dad was. you need to find a therapist that won't give you sleeping pills and that will actually help you talk all of this out until you have some kind of peace. i don't know if you believe in god. but that bible says that he will give you rest. tell him about your dreams, ask him to help you sleep peacefully.

im sorry. but take sleeping pills or something.
or u can go to a nuerologist (a person who studys brains) and ask him whats up.

u didnt say what it was. if there is something bothering u then u need to sort that out first , if not just try relaxing more especially before bed. reading is good to distract your mind too. u need to break the cycle thats making you have the nightmares.

u have 2 important steps

1. be close from GOD ,, ask him 4 forgiveness & bring u out of u these dreams from ur sleep

2. go to a therapist 2 help u

& give reply me if it will work ( i am sure of that 100% )

Counseling or talk to someone close to you. Keeping what you feel inside will makes it worse. Try to verbalize your feelings, let those anger out.

If you are old enough and can stand alone by your own ways without parents help then try to move out to places which is relaxing to you. It's a traumatic event for you since you experienced fear way back before.
