I don't sleep ... ?!

Question: For some reason, I don't sleep nearly as much as I should. Honestly, I'm not sure why. Sometimes I just don't want to go to bed, sometimes it's because I'm working on my homework until really really super late in the morning (because of a mix of procrastination AND my teachers assign waaaay too much homework), and sometimes I just don't get tired.

Basically, I always feel like I have the energy to be up all night and just not sleep. I'm 17, I'm in high school - extremely extremely stressed out, I have WAAY too much to do and not enough time. I usually go to bed between 4:30 and 5:00, and I wake up for school at 5:30. I pull an all-nighter usually about 3 times a week.

Anyway, so I have a few questions -

1. Why don't I get tired?!
2. How can I fix it?
3. Is it really that bad? I've been doing this for about a year now and honestly, I'm the same as I've always been. It seems like it hasn't affected me at all.

Ahh why am I such a creep? lol

You do get tired, you just don't realize it. I'm sure you just have long term fatigue and can't feel it yet.

You can fix it by sleeping more and getting help from sleep remedies and maybe medications.

It is really bad because it may contribute to something like insomnia or depression.

You're not a creep. A little while ago I didn't sleep either because I was being hypnophobic. I wouldn't sleep for more than 1 and a half hours because I didn't want to enter the R.E.M. cycle.

Jackoff before laying to rest, it relaxes your joints and muscles so you can get a good nights sleep

omg lol you should so get to sleep...30 minutes:O
lol im assuming your blood pressure is going up from all that stress and lack of sleep...so just relax and sleep lol..or take Melatonin if u just cant..
Sleep is EXTRMELY important

im the same but i go to bed earlier...not like 30 minutes of sleep omg lol....i just dont like to sleep id rather be up..lol
but i love my bed cuz its so comfy

1. You suffer from insomnia, plus your body is just used to it by now.
2. Sleeping pills.
3. You should be getting at least 5 hours of sleep a night.

Well, first, don't listen to the first answer. Masturbating before bed will lead to dependence on that and you want to be able to go to sleep on your own and not rely on something. That will just create more problems.

Try some herbal teas. They carry them at walmart. Try a relaxing bath and getting yourself on a schedule. If you want to sleep then it can be done. It will take practice and routine. Turn the TV and computer off one hour before going to sleep and that will help you wind down. Sleep is important for your health.

As it may not seems to be but, sleeping is very important to the extreme. It relate to most likely everything you do in your daily life bases. The way you react, stress, lack of social communication, lack of intelligence, depress and so on. You may feel alright because your body is already used to it, and its not a healthy thing. You need to set a schedule for your daily routine. I dont believe in such thing that teachers give too much work for student to bare, that is for k-12. But Always do your homework early, if you started doing it late then you become for frustrated and stress. It can also make your homework answer not any better once you turn it in. Once your a college student, I suggest you take enough class that can also lead more time to sleep. Sleeping effect education. 8 or 9 hours of sleep require, too little or too much is also not good.

some people need only about 2 hrs sleep per night.but i don't think u r one of those
stress will keep u awake ,try relaxation methods eg meditation, get a cd ,it's much easier to follow another voice than trying to concentrate on a visualisation of u own. .also some physical exercises, and good nutrition , work on establishing a good rutine .yes it has affected u ,stress is very bad for u and can lead to other illnesses.
