Symptoms of depression include:

Loss of interest in normal daily activities
Feeling sad or down
Feeling hopeless
Crying spells for no apparent reason
Problems sleeping
Trouble focusing or concentrating
Difficulty making decisions
Unintentional weight gain or loss
Irritability
Restlessness
Being easily annoyed
Feeling fatigued or weak
Feeling worthless
Loss of interest in sex
Thoughts of suicide or suicidal behavior
Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches

if you have alot of these then tell some one go to the doctors and they will tell you the rest

You must go to a doctor first, they will ask you questions and based on your answers, you will get your assesment and treatment options.

you go to the doctor and get assesed???

You should get clinically diagnosed. As a guide though you can do online depression tests.

u dnt care about ANYTHING at all.
i mean ANYTHING

The only way to really tell is to get assessed by a professional. Many places have free mental health screenings. I recommend a Google search for your area or check your local health department.

you are...seek help

Persistent sad, anxious or "empty" mood
Loss of appetite and/or weight loss or conversely overeating and weight gain
Insomnia, early-morning awakening, or oversleeping
Restlessness or irritability
Feelings of worthlessness, inappropriate guilt, helplessness
Feelings of hopelessness, pessimism
Difficulty thinking, concentrating, remembering or making decisions
Thoughts of death or suicide or attempts at suicide
Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed
Decreased energy, fatigue, feeling "slowed down" or sluggish
Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain

If you're depressed all the time for no reason.
Simple as that.
If you want to get help see a psychiatrist, and they'll most likely prescribe you medication. If you don't like medication, just excersise more. =]

If you lose interest in things that previously interested you. Other indicators are the following: trouble sleeping, sleeping too much, difficulty concentrating, suicidal thoughts, profound sadness, isolating oneself from family and friends, and disinterest in one's appearance. Now I'm depressed.

Only a doctor can tell but beware that doctors are quick to diagnose and not so quick to follow up so ask a lot of questions and don't just assume because they are a doctor they are looking out for your best interests. My doctor told me I had all sorts of things wrong when I just needed someone to listen. Don't get on any medicine without understanding it's full effects and good luck.

If you really don't have a reason to be depressed..Because there are normal reasons for people to be depressed, and I don't think I have to explain, except I will mention, an illness, or loss of a loved one, things like that. Those things have to run a course because that's the way life is..Everything is not always peaches 'n cream...so, you have to ask yourself if you have a reason for being depressed or not? Then, if you don't, seek help, first to your medical doctor, to rule out any physical problems, and your medical doctor will refer you to a psychiatrist..that's the logical way of doing it...Hope some of this might have helped you...take care...

doctors cant tell you how depressed you are.if you are feeling really really low for weeks and nothing you do helps.if your not interested in anything and nothing stimulates you.if you cant think of anything to look forewood too then you are severely depressed.if a good film helps or a walk in the park or a chat with a friend then its not clinnical.this is my oppinion only.
