Wow, girl you are dealing with a lot.

Your mom is in prison
Your dad is not listening or helping
social phobia
Trich
Pica- thats where you eat non nutrional items, like hair
suicidal

You really have to be courageous and brave and ask for help. You have to find a way to follow thru and get help.
A school counselor can help and get you in touch with another counselor that can help.

I happen to know that Trich is very difficult to treat, so you are going to need help and this is not something you can do on your own. It destroys your self esteem and it only gets worse as you get older.

The good news is that you are smart and brave and you have come to this site and reached out for help. DO NOT GIVE UP.

You can print out your question put your name on it and put under your counselors door and request to see them. They will not hurt you, they will only help. I promise.

What in the world do you have to lose? What you are doing now is not working. You have to try a different path.

I believe that you can do it. You are a survivor and I know that because you have found all of these defense mechanisms to protect yourself. I have no idea what has occcured early in your life and even if you are suffering from genetic anxiety etc. but promise that you will take the next step. You may need to receive medication counseling to assist you.

Take care of yourself because you are worth it. YOU ARE WORTH IT.

you sound like a babe lets go out sometime

i believe you ... want to get over your social phobia? email me and talk to me

in all seriousness, i don't believe you.

EDIT: no no no, i'm not saying you're lying, but i'm going to suggest that you're forcing yourself to believe that you have these sudden ailments. i'm sure if you go on wikipedia you can read about all these and get false impressions that you have them. no fourteen year old kid knows the disorder of trichotillomania. i honestly don't believe you for a second.

mercury: impossible? no, it doesn't seem impossible at all. i used to have ocd, but without bullshit therapy and medication, i kicked the habit. it's all in your mind. you've been suicidal for five years? if you were older, i'd suggest pulling the trigger, but i guess you have something to live for, even though you're lying. well, whatever, keep it real. don't be frail-minded.

Dont worry, just go to the school counseler. Really, theres nothing to be scared of, even if you have social phobia. I've been there before myself. All they do is listen to your problems and give you some advice, just like nice people do on here. :) I had to go for a very embarrasing reason and they were still very nice. Don't commit suicide, your life is too precious too. All of this will soon go away. First, try to get rid of the social phobia, then the OCD-tricholtillmania, then the depression will go away on its on.

Good luck :)

honestly, i know how u feel. granted ive never pulled out my hair or had such disorders but i have been depressed and have had sever anxiety since i was about 12 and now i am 22 and am just now taking steps to help myself. there are medications that can fix your brain chemistry. I am a biology and a biopsychology graduate and i can tell you that these meds DO WORK. I can understand why you wouldnt want to go to a school counselor as i did not want to either when i was young. however, if you have health insurance i suggest going to the doctor. Sit down with your father and tell him that you feel like you have serious problems and you NEED help..if he does not listen then sweety you HAVE TO talk to the people at school. especially if you are suicidal because they will find a way to get you help. trst me i know its very scary but you have to take care of this for YOURSELF...trying something is only scary till you give it a chance....give those counselors a chance to help you and trust me it will and CAN get better...

Sir Oprah - Other than the mother in prison and me only having brief episodes of Trich. when I was really bad, I have suffered everything described in the questions, all at once. So don't be so fast to call somebody a liar. Count yourself lucky that it seems impossible to you for people to be in this situation.

To answer the question - Unfortunately, I don't know how you can deal with all of this by yourself, but I do believe you will be able to reach out for help & deal with this with the appropriate support. You have already made the first step, posting this question.

It might seem impossible to see the school councillor now, so try to take small steps.

You seem comfortable talking about this to people who don't know you online (ie asking this question). There are websites where you can talk to online, anonymously, about your problems with people qualified to help you. These people can also refer you to doctors/councillors, when you feel comfortable to take that step.

I don't know where you live in the world, but there are phone numbers in most countries, that are free to call, where you can also talk to somebody & aren't forced to be talking face to face. Maybe you would find that easier?

Hopefully, by using services like this, you can work towards a point where you feel confident enough to approach the school councillor, or a psychiatrist/psychologist. You can even tell the councillor/psych that you are feeling too scared to talk about this, he/she won't think that is stupid, and at least that is the beginnings of communication with people who can help you to find effective treatment.

Just take baby steps, every tiny step in the right direction, towards seeking help, is a good thing, you keep taking steps and you will get there!

well, at least you admit you have a problem, your social phobia is going to be something you must overcome, if you seriously want help, thats the only way you are going to get it is by actually talking to someone
