I've been an iPod fan ever since they came out. I have one or two of every kind right now. I have 3 Videos, 3 Shuffles (Pink, blue, and green), an old Nano, a new Nano, 2 Touches, and one of the 'original' as they like to call them. The original ones are the ones that look ghetto hahaha.

This is the thing that really goes deep. Im being serious when i say this goes way deeper than any electronic should. Let me start from the beginning.

Why do humans of every personality, race, religion, culture, budget, gender, orientation, style, label, and aspiration . . . why do they all seem to want/need/idolize The iPod? Same reason why everyone from all those categories above can also talk about the weather and be happy. It's something you can't disagree on! If a lesbian and a strait women were outside right next to each other, it wouldn't be sunny on the lesbian and raining on the strait girl. They can both talk about the weather and agree peacefully without being controvercial at all.

Not exactly the iPod part, but the music part is much the same as weather. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, no matter what they say, likes music! We can all agree and relate to the fact that we like music.

We CAN disagree on what kind of music. It may even frustrate a person if someone else doesn't like the same kind of music. But there is no way it goes any further, unless there is something else that is bothering that person, which makes disagreeing on the music ridiculous because thats not really what they are fighting about. Its so amazing how two people can come from the exact same place and love totally different music. I know these twins Jackson and Angelina. They seem to be EXACTLY alike in every way (except for what makes one a boy and the other a girl AHEM) except for their music tastes! One likes all hit music, and the other likes classical music. As in like Bach and stuff! This is proof that music defines who we are as individuals, and the fact that we all have that aspect is what makes it incredible. Even the deaf have their ways of music. Wasn't there a deaf piano player who would play with his ear to the floor?

So, how exactly does this shared love affair with music have to do with everyone putting the spotlight on iPods? Well, ever since Apple created the first iPod, the software they had in these devices was more phenomenal than any other Mp3 player and of course its better than Tape and CD players. People dont love the iPod JUST because it's the name-brand mp3 player. It puts a soul into you're music.

Apple calls this entire music eneminal "iPod + iTunes". iPod was created to work best with the music you buy off of iTunes. You can download all the information about the song, the album artwork from the CD the song is on, and it gives 11 cents (possibly the ONLY bad thing about iPod + iTunes because if you bought a CD it would give 17 cents to the musicians and singers -- 6 less cents to support) to the artists that created the song. So it makes you feel very good when you buy a song. It's almost like you OWN the song, like it's some kind of physical treasure. iPod displayed what you own greatly, making you feel even more special.

When you own a song that everyone desires (even if its not exactly what they like -- I'm just being very general and very hypothetical) and you're able to put it on something that shows it so well, with such beautiful design and such delicate display as the iPod is able to do, better than all the other mp3 players, it makes you feel special.

It's a selfish feeling, and the fact that iPods are very expensive and everyone knows it doesn't help the owner stay very humble. The fact that you have to speak about youreself simply by talking about an " 'I' Pod " doesnt help either. iPods can make you and youre thoughts vein. But, if you are normally someone who doesn't show off, then its okay to feel that strange yet wonderful way about yourself. Treat yourself! If you are someone who shows off all the time, then you'll be no different then the skin-deep robot you are.

When you see the commercials for iPod's, they have those shadow people that have perfect bodies dancing. Think deep as you read the next few lines. When viewers, the public, see those people that seem so happy . . . with an iPod. People look everywhere for happiness, and music always gives it to them. Having happiness in you're pocket to go wherever you do. To have comfort on a playlist. To be able to let the music you relate to, and to let it surround you're soul. And to be able to close you're eyes and be so moved by something you can hear. That is the dream of everyone. iPod's deliver dreams. That is not an overstatement.

If anyone doesn't like iPod's, it's because they are one of the folowing:
A - Had a bad expirience with them
B - Can't afford to keep up with them
C - Is jealous of everyone who has one
D - Have no idea what iPod is
E - Both A and B
F - Both B and C
G - Relate to A, B, and C
And if someone doesn't like iPods and they think they are none of the above and/or are angered by it, then they are probably C, F, or G.

iPod . . . If there was a way we could all put down our debating minds and just converse about music, the world would be perfect. That will never happen, though.

well firstly the volume is over the recommended and the exposure to it is often long
i think the reason why everyone wants one s the portrayal in the media that you must have one coz they are the best, easy to use and you have your whole CD collection in your pocket!

It's easy to use, easy to carry, and it looks trendy.

bcuz u r in control and fill it wit ur favorite music dat u makes da individual user feel good (euphoric) similar to drugz
