I feel sad sometimes?!

Question: I'm 13...
I have 3 dogs, a bird, and a hamster
My parents love me tons and I love them too
I have a sister too
I do tons of activities (Guitar, Theater class, Writing club)
and I get decent grades. IDK y, but I just feel sad and like "What's the point?" all the time. I take medication for anxiety, allergies, and a mood stabilizer. Why do I feel like this? Is it normal? BTW I'm not always like this, sometimes I'm happy and the next minute I'm sad. Why?

Don't worry I'm the same way. It is like depretion. My brother died when I was 8 years old, I have a stomach disease, my best friend and the guy I like moved away, and a lot more. It just brings you down when all this stuff in your life goes wrong. I do a lot of stuff to, like I street hip hop dance ( no lessons, just a hobbie ) I'm good at art, I LOVE animals, and I have a dog, bird, and hamster. Well I use to have 2 hamsters, but you know what happened to Emma so yeah. And It is depresing, but you have to try not to be sad, you have to hold your head high and just keep your self bussy. And if you really wont to talk you can e-mail me, because I'm the same age, or go to a therapist. GoOd LuCk

You might have a slight form of depression. I know exactly what you are saying. But remember too that sadness is a normal part of life, and sometimes it does come on at odd times, but as long as you feel like you can handle everyday life and are not suicidal or anything you should be ok. But talk it over with your mom or dad and maybe even your family dr, talking about it can only help you get back on the right track.

I had the same problems at your age, and I turned out okay, so dont worry too much about it.
Do talk to your parents about it though, and try to come to a conclusion with them.

It is good that you have a strong relationship with your family. They are the best medicine you can have.

Good Luck!

Your mood stabilizer may not be doing the job it is supposed to do. You may need to increase the dosage or switch stabilizers. It may be that you have grown since last visiting the doctor's office and that is why you are experiencing more mood issues.

Being happy one moment and sad the next for no reason isn't a normal emotional pattern and so it is probably time for a visit to the doctor's office. As you are around the age when growth spurts occur, ask your doctor how much weight you can gain before an increase in dosage is recommended.

Other than this problem, you sound like you have a very nice life.

Have you ever tried meditation as a way to relax and cope with things? It
