I was tested a couple years ago because a couple family members had it. My parents took me to the UCLA Psychology Clinic. You typically need your parents to do it. When I did it I had to go do at the UCLA Psychology Clinic about 3 times and complete tests that usually take 4-5 hours to complete (I completed them in almost half the normal time) and if you are a kid someone will usually come and observe all your school classes for a day. This means your teachers will know about it but when they come they just sit in the back of the classroom and the teacher doesn't say anything about the person and they don't say anything either. Your parents don't tell you either because they need to see what you normally do. They also need to meet with your parents to ask them questions about you so if you want to get accurate results you need to tell your parents. It isn't like those free IQ tests you can do on the internet (but they usually do test your IQ). The tests are similar to tests you do at school but a person asks you all the questions and some of the tests are a little fun. Don't worry, they don't attach weird devices to your head and there are no needles involved.Because of the amount your parents are involved in it, you do need your parents consent.
yea ur parents would have to take u to the doctor and ask the him to test b/c ur under 18.
your family doctor can recommend a doctor for you to see,
a problem with self diagnosis is, if we have denial we will refuse to see the symptoms, or on the other hand reading about symptoms we can also mentally develop them called psychosomatic.
I have ADD it makes me great hehe, but i have to stay balanced, It means whatever you focus on you will block out everything else, so its important to keep refocusing and getting the big picture, while we focus on whatever is most important to us.

My psychiatrist tested me. I don't know about the consent, but you can call one and ask or google it.
There is a quiz, through section 1, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris and see sections 22 - 25. Use the results to support your case: visit your school counselor and ask if your parents can be contacted on your behalf, because it may carry more weight, that way.
