Question: Since last few weeks, I am expereincing trouble falling asleep. I go to bed at around 9:00 pm and stay awake till 3:00 am. I have to wake up at around 6:00 am for work. What the hell is wrong with me? I tried everything, warm milk, counting sheeps but non seems to be working. I think about sleeping the whole day and worry whether I will be able to sleep tonight or no. What kind of meds I can use to overcome this issue?

melatonin supplements - available over the counter at your local drug store or vitamin store - make sure you have 8 hours to devote to sleep...

i live like this. nothing works, your just a worrier, your mind dont stop. mist your bed with fresh linen spray, or lavender. but the pills, hot baths and counting sheep just dont cut it.

I never think sleeping pills are the right answer at first before exhausting all natural remedies to falling asleep first because sleeping pills can have terrible side effects and sometimes just make you completely tired through the whole day.

things you should try are:
warm baths.
drinking chamomile tea before bed. a few cups.
reading for an hour right before bed.
putting lavender in a sache' under your pillow.

theres also natural remedies that are pills for sleep that you can get in the naturals section of your grocery stores or health food store. typically they are just vitamins that contain calming herbs and other natural sleep remedies.

dont take sleeping pills unless you cant find any other method of sleeping and then you need to see your doctor first.

masturbate and fall asleep, not to be rude or anything

Red grapes have high doses of Melatonin in them. I use these sometimes to help calm my daughter down to get her ready for bed. I myself have the problem of being tired but not falling asleep. It sucks I know. Like right now I'm up at almost 2am and not ready to sleep yet I want to. It used to be because my mind would race about future and past things, now I can have a completely blank mind and still not be able to sleep. Usually to help myself sometimes, I get online and look at stupid stuff, or read my book, masturbation is helpful once in awhile too. Just have to eventually find that thing that helps.

I wouldn't advise meds unless you really have to - just because of side-effects and so forth. You could try using a dawn simulator/bodyclock - I don't know if you've heard of these but they can be used to help you get to sleep as they provide a 'natural' sunset - I tried it for waking up and it was great, but you can use it to get to sleep as well. It's something to do with regulating your body's natural rhythms. Check it out: http://www.lumie.com/shop/treatments/sle...

Hope this helps a little!
