Anyone out there on cipramil? I need HELP!?!

Question: Im on cipramil for anxiety.. I only just started it and found it was too strong and made me sleepy straight away. I have been taking a half dose for 3 days now. I have had very painful diarrhea, hot flushes and been tired and am feeling detached from reality.

Can anyone tell me if this is just getting used to it? How do I control the side effects??? Thanks

First off cipramil is NOT the same as Xanex (It is Celexa... )The Symptoms you are descibing are not side effects of cipramil. I believe you have a virus= Stomach Flu, Gastroenterisis or Food Poisioning. I would bet money that I am right.

I was on this medication as well. but I was lucky only had a little diarrhoea. I am no longer taking it. Go to your doctor or pharmacist (mine gave me a leaflet - consumer medicine information). Are you taking any other medication? The usual dose of Cipramil is between 20mg and 60mg per day. one to three tablets per day. What did your doctor prescribe?
Don't muck around asking us, ring the chemist if doctor is not available.

Cpiramil is the same drug as Xanax, here in America.
You say u have not been on it a long time.
It would help if you added details( see the button below your question, it says " add details".
I wont be able to answer again,( they do not let us answer twice), but others will see it.
Tell us how long have you been on it, and what mg. are u taking?
All your symptoms are symptoms of anxiety, BUT, also withdrawal.
It depend how long and at what dose u have been taking them.No matter what, hang in there.

I know what it's like to have anxiety, and also what it is like to do a withdrawal. You will life, not die, and in short time, u will be fine.
