HELP ME!!!i cant do this alone...................?!


Question: ok. in few minutes i gotta go to skoo and be there the whole day but i have severe social axiety disorder and i dont think i can do this pleaz help me!! How do i relax???

OK. Calm down. Things are not that bad.

If you find yr self in a situation where you feel like yr gonna have an anxiety/panic attack there are things you can do to relax yr mind and help you chill out.

First, remember, yr in a safe enviroment. Nothing bad is gonna happen, no-body is going to hurt you. OK?

When the feelings of anxiety come on, take a deep breath, count to ten, or even better, count from, say 64 backwards to 54. This takes more concentration, and this is what we want right? Something to take yr concentration away from your anxiety.

You could always ask to be excused, to go outside and take a time out. I'm sure if you told the teachers how yr finding it hard to deal with yr anxiety they will understand and be helpfull.

Go and see the school coucillor, they are there to help. There has to be a reason why you feel the way you do. Perhaps looking into why your feeloing so anxious will help in the long-term?

But, in the meantime, remember, yr safe, no-one is gonna hurt you. Take deep breaths and relax. Take a time out.

I know it's hard to deal with theese things, but you are not alone, there are people out there who will and want to help you. OK?

try a stress ball.... a small stuffed animal that will fit in your backpack for comfort... take a deep breath... and remind yourself that everything will be fine.

the best advice i could give you is to talk with your counsler. he/she can help you find a good therapist in your area to help you exist with your disorder. it is hard to do on own. seek therapy and you will find a way to be out and about without an anxiety attack. there is help out there to help you cope with it. good luck and stay strong and positive!

You are not alone, that is the irony of this. There are so many people out there with the same ills. I know it's easy for me to say but you need to take some big breaths and know you have to get better and to get better you need help. I need to do this too and yet I'm finding it very, very hard. this happens to me E V E R Y D A Y !!
but when i actually talk to people and realise how easy it is i lose all anxiety.
