I use to have the same problem. I ended up moving the alarm clock to the other side of the room, so that I actually have to GET OUT of bed to shut it off. Once I'm up, I'm up. It worked for me, maybe it will work for you.

set your alarm for two hours early

Same here dude.lol.. Alarms just don't work for me too.

Its easy to turn off your alarm and go back to sleep if the clock is right next to you. Put your clock in a place where you have to get out of bed to turn it off.

I think you should definitly get a buddy or someone that you will be accountable to, and they'll have to be firm in making sure you get up, either by phone, or whatever. Also, don't stay up or do whatever you are doing at night. If that's not the case, there can be some meds (or drinks) out there to give you extra energy

okey wtf heres a word of idwice, get up when the alarm rings !!!

I use to always do that in High School, and I still do sometimes, but there is a way to get up. If you put your alarm clock over the other side of the room you have to get out of bed. Or set it an hour before you have to get up, that way you can put it on snooze and stay in bed for another hour. Or you could buy more clocks and set them off all together, or just pretend your going somewhere lovely!!!

Well it actually wakes you up, as you say you just hit snooze or turn it off.

If its such a problem and you know this then why not just, WAKE UP!

Or just try using a tv, radio alarm and set it really loud to give you that extra jolt to move your ***.

Okay, first of all i hope you look at this page agian cause this can help you.

I had the same exact problem yet i am only 17 years old, that is besides the point.

I had trouble getting up in highschool as well.

You know what i did about it?

I got a louder alarm Clock i slept with my door open and the window open.
The alarm clock is either right next to my head or across the room. Trust me it works. for us Sleep Lovers

IT all depends on when you wake up in the morning.

Do NOT Set it Two hours early.

That will only Make you Not Hear it Cause when you sleep you have REM Sleep

REM: Remidial eye movement

AkA Dreaming And when that is in process you will not wake up from A Light Sound.

Anyhow Try to fall alseep BY 11:00 Or So.
Be more active during the Day and So on

Im Sorry to Ramble on but i would like to help you as much as i can.

Thanks agian

Your Friendly Helper:

go to bed at a reasonable time.. then when that alarms goes off.. get up and get ready .. train your self to do that everyday.. its really not that difficult..

Move your alarm further from your bed, if you have to get up to hit the snooze do not allow yourself to go back to sleep in your bed, first splash water on your face. Then snooze only after you have done the very most you can without actually going to class, then set a second alarm for the time you have left before you absolutely have to leave to make it on time.
That's step one step two is to go ahead and go to school then snooze in the car before you go in set an alarm for that.
step three is to wait and snooze after class and so on until you change your snooze time to a convenient after business hours thing.
Procrastination is an art form.

I have the same problem and that's what I do:
I set the alarm on my cellphone (which has a soft sound) at 7.55
Then a clock with a really loud alarm at 8.00
and then the cd player at 8.10
I usualy wake with the cd player

I've had the same problem all my life.
I can't put my alarm clock across my room because then I would just sleep through it.
I have 2 alarms on my alarm clock. One goes off 3 hours before I want to be up. The next 2 hours before. Then I set my cellphone for half an hour before. Sometimes I set my tv to come on when I want to be up, or leave the curtain open. Depends how much trouble I had getting up the morning before.

And I'm not a sleep lover, I hate to sleep. I have just always woken up hard. Someone waking me up works best, but even my mum had problems when I was a 7 year old kid.
