Has your medication worked too well, that you're not taking life seriously l!

Question: I've been on effexor for like 1 1/2 months and like nothing bothers me now. It was prescribed by my Dr.because I had a nervous breakdown at my Dr.'s office and now my bills are like a week late and guess what? I DON'T CARE! I should the money's there I'm just too lazy..husband went out to the bar yesterday, usually I would plan payback but I don't care I said, "fine do you need cash?" "peace!"

My kids fight and scream I just don't care usually I would breakdown and scream freak out and leave (with the husband of course) and like I don't care anymore..I'm just looking forward to the weekend so we can have fun at the zoo or something.

you sound cool to me. Life shouldn't be taken seriously, i mean you are gonna die some day, so why waste any time feeling anything but absolute happiness. but don't let your happiness come at the expense of someone Else's misery. get it?

These types of drugs changed my wife for the worse and destroyed my marriage.

Be careful. Being a psycho who cares is better than being a zombie who doesn't care.

Lithium, when I was on a very high 'crisis' dose, did that to me. I have since dropped the dosage and quit some of the other medications I was on (including another mood stabilizer and an antidepressant.) What are you taking effexor for (i.e. what specific disorder?)

lol, i am sorry but this is all too familiar and i must say this post has given me a chuckle. Maybe the effexor is not for you in that it affects seratonin and norepinephrine, likely if you were on an ssri like celexa you would not feel that way. I too felt like that on effexor and wish like i could feel like that again sometimes...but you are correct....not a good thing long run. Let your doctor know and maybe he can switch you to an ssri, effexor is an snri.

Good luck....

That's pretty hateful for your Dr. to call you a nutcase. Wow! Meds have NEVER put me on top of the world! I wish my Luvox would rid my OCD unwanted thoughts 100%.
