What do I do if i am depressed?????????!

Question: ditto the top line

Answers: ditto the top line

DO NOT CUT YOURSELF THAT WILL MAKE IT WORSE

Talk to your friends, family, counseler at school (if you go to school)
Talk about how you feel, all the bad things in your life.
If you not comfortable talking face to face talk on msn or text

Maybe start writing a diary, it helps a lot believe me, ive been through it.

DO NOT TAKE IT OUT ON YOURSELF. It is not your fault that you are in this way and you should try and think of the better things in your life

Write down all the good things in your life and then all the bad things. See if there are ways to make the good things better and the bad things go away

Just try and be happy and confident and talk to people. Do not suffer in silence

noo
dont cut yurself
thats not the answer to everything !
well whats wrong in your life, are you worried about stuff or just bored with it and are never happy.
go out more with your friends, and do more stuff, talk about it to family and mates, so you have less time to be depressed.

Start with this: are you getting enough rest?
Eating balanced meals?
Some small amount of exercise, walking can help. If its bad, I suggest therapy, or talking to someone,a clergy member, if you are a church go-er. We all get in a rut at times, but if its something you cant shake get some help.Start with a doctors appt.

Um the cutting person needs help! Dont take their advice!!!

First you need to figure out why you are depressed?

and if no reason at all...just depression..talk to someone a parent a friend..someone u can trust!

Excercising can help too believe it or not...It releases chemicals or endorphens in your brain to naturally induce happiness. Otherwise known as serrotonin.

Do whatever you want but don't become an Emo.And the guy that tells you to cut yourself is not EMO.

I used to get really depressed very often. Then I found a TV show called Sifl & Olly!
Then it got canceled. But you can still find clips of it on YouTube. That show is happiness in a TV screen!

You don't pay any attention to any of us. If we had a degree we'd be working in the field, right? Get in and talk to someone, at school, at church, at a medical clinic. Someone will help you.

Umm yeah... do NOT cut yourself, first of all. It's kind of gross and unhealthy, and does not relieve any of the pain you're feeling.
I've been depressed before, I've had two friends put in institutions because of multiple attempted suicides, AND two of my other friends succeeded in their suicides.
So I just have to start with: Don't commit suicide. Really. It ruins so many lives and it's such a horrible waste. Do you really want to put everyone you love through that?
Ok sorry, had to get that out of the way.
So now. Trust me, I know how you are feeling. You are most definately not alone, almost everyone has been depressed at one point in there lives. The best thing to do if you're comfortable is to find a counselor. The nice things about counselors is that they arent really shrinks: they dont analyze you or put you on meds or lock you up: they cant! They just sort of help you out. It really helped me. If not, find someone else you can confide in. A parent is usuallly best, because sometimes peers are not experienced enough to understand the situation.
If you feel like you do need meds, find some that work for you, theyre not bad just because they're official. You have nothing to be afraid or ashamed of, but depression is an illness and there are cures out there.
Alchohol is a depressant. So if you think you can drown your sorrows, think again, it'll make you feel way worse. Ditto drugs, you might like the escape they give you but all they do is isolate you until you have nowhere to turn. Dont go down that road.
So yes, the last thing I can offer is a hotline. They're really really good, and they all are qualified and know their stuff.
Good luck, and remember, it may not feel like it now, but you will never in your life feel as bad as you do when you are ultimately depressed. It doesn't last. So hang in there and things will get better, I promise.

"THEREFORE I SAY TO YOU,DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR LIFE,WHAT YOU WILL EAT OR WHAT YOU WILL DRINK;NOR ABOUT YOUR BODY,WHAT YOU WILL PUT ON.IS NOT LIFE MORE THAN FOOD & THE BODY MORE THAN CLOTHING?LOOK AT THE BIRDS OFTHE AIR,FOR THEY NEITHER SOW NOR REAP NOR GATHER INTO BARNS ;YET YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER FEEDS THEM.ARE YOU NOT OF MORE VALUE THAN THEY?WHICH OF YOU BY WORRYING CAN ADD ONE CUBIT(A UNIT OF MEASURE)TO HIS STATURE?SO WHY DO YOU WORRY ABOUT CLOTHING?CONSIDER THE LILIES OF THE FIELD,HOW THEY GROW;THEY NEITHER TOIL NOR SPIN;AND YET I SAY TO YOU SOLOMON IN ALL HIS GLORY WAS NOT ARRAYED LIKE ONE OF THESE.NOW IF GOD SO CLOTHES THE GRASS OF THE FIELD WHICH TODAY IS,AND TOMORROW IS THROWN INTO THE OVEN,WILL HE NOT MUCH MORE CLOTHE YOU,O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH?
THEREFORE DO NOT WORRY,SAYING,'WHAT SHALL WE EAT?'OR'WHAT SHALL WE DRINK?'OR'WHAT SHALL WE WEAR?' FOR AFTER ALL THES THINGS THE GENTILES SEEK.FOR YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS THAT YOU NEED ALL THESE THINGS.BUT SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THES THINGS SHALL BE ADDED TO YOU.THEREFORE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW,FOR TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITS OWN THINGS.SUFFICIENT FOR THE DAY IS ITS OWN TROUBLE"

First you gotta know what your depressed about..you got to solve your problem from the root. When you get to the root then from there on you can solve the problem with more details. If it is b/c of loneliness there's a solution...if it's b/c of physical appearance there's a solution, & so on. If it's something you just don't know why...then you need someone to trust and talk too about everything.

go see a doctor first and he will determine what kind of help you need

You should do several things.

FIRST... find a good family psychologist and start going to counseling to learn what is the cause of your depression.

SECOND ... do things to help others. If you look, you can easily find people with worse problems than yours. If you volunteer at a hospital or an animal rescue location, you can provide much needed support for those who have been sick or abused. Doing this kind of work helps keep you from wallowing in self pity which makes your problems seem worse than they actually are.

THIRD .. make a list of your good talents and attributes, what you know that's good, what you do that's good, what you are capable of... You need to remind yourself of your good capabilities and qualities because you've been telling yourself all you see that you think is BAD ... and you've not taken time to tell yourself what is GOOD about you.
Don't avoid going to a counselor. It's very important. @->--
