Well you're obviously uneducated and ignorant on the subject...However, I will say that the term is over used....But there is without a doubt plenty of kids with and adults and ADD and ADHD...

Lol, I know it's real, I have ADHD, and I can tell the difference if I haven't had my meds( so can everyone around me)
I think that it's just too common now. When I was growing up (I'm 26) there was never any of us who had either of the two. I think we just ran out of ways to control children and it's starting to turn on us. I worked in a school system for a while and my mother is an ABA specialist. She blames a lot on parenting.
It's real ... I've known a lot of special needs children ... be glad you don't have it , so you are able to question its reality. It's damned real.
Brian you are not alone in thinking that, however you are just one of many uneducated people in the world.
Those of us that have to deal with this condition, know only too well what it is like.
But then there are still people out there that still believe that there were WMD in Iraq.
Do some serious research on the subject and get educated. The truth will open your eyes, that is if you are not afraid of learning the truth.
Unless you've personally taken scans of a normal human's brain and compared it to a person who has ADHD, where there is clearly a difference in the thinking pattern, please don't speak. Take a psychology class and then when you're better educated on the subject then you can say it's not real.
It is real, however as another poster points out, it is over used and over diagnosed.
Look in Wikipedia under Attention Deficit Disorder. It's been going on for a LONG time
since it HAS BEEN CLASSIFIED AS A DISORDER IN CHILDREN FROM 6 UP TO 18. They wouldn't prescribe a medication for disorder that YOU find "STUPID" EDUCATE YOURSELF DUDE
