Answers: i was put on it for depression

what does it do?

Zoloft is an antidepressant (class - selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor). It is prescribed for depression and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). You should be starting at 50 mg per day and the usual effective dose is 50-200 mg/day. It should help with panic disorders, posttraumatic stress disorders and social anxiety disorders.

It's an anti-depressant. I'm on it, too. You probably won't notice an improvement in your mood for 4-6 weeks.
