Your anxiety symptoms!?!!?!?!

Question: My anxiety is playing with my mind. I have recently been told I have unusual high blood pressure so now I am on Micradis to lower my BP. This has triggered my anxiety I think coz now I am worrying something is wrong with my heart. It is easy to say 'stop thinking about it' it is just so hard to do.

What are your anxiety symptoms?!?!

How to you combat these? I am just about to start seeing a psychologist once a week, not on any medication as I am breastfeeeding my son!

I was having lots of trouble breathing earlier I went for a walk. It didn't help!!!!!!!!

I feel like I am going insane and that it is not anxiety but something else. Arghhh I am so annoyed!!

first, you need to learn how to relax properly. if you can, check out my other questions and answers on anxiety. I've answered a lot of other peoples questions with the same as yours.

number one, don't ever go to the shrink or doc for anxiety drugs, because you will just get even more paranoid then you are and you won't be able to get off the drugs. you will grow dependent on them. Meditation is a quicker way to relax then anything else on the planet. If you havent read any books on anxiety, you should start now. or at least surf the web online. you will feel much better after learning what anxiety really is, you will feel a bit calmer. that everything you are experiencing, the paranoia, and other symptoms, like freaking out, is all normal.

I'm going to explain a simple breathing technique that will help you when you feel anxious and if any attacks come your way. The reason why we get anxious, is because we breath improperly. Simply learning how to breath the proper way will help your anxiety go away in no time. Just dont expect miracles to happen in all in one day. Patience is the key, without it, you will never be cured. the more patience you have, the faster you get rid of this nasty anxiety you are experiencing.
But first i must ask, are you under any stress. You just had a baby, so i'm sure you have a bit stress. and thats why you are getting anxiety. Well its gonna be a bit harder to combat your anxiety with the baby taking your time, are you working? or a stay at home mom. When the baby is asleep. Practice deep breathing exercies (Meditating). If you pay attention to your baby when he is sleeping, try to copy his breathing. Babies breath properly unlike us, we are going thru life so quickoly, always rushing, doing things, we dont breath the proper way, inhaling air down to the belly. Most of us breath only to the chest and thats what causes panic and anxiety. Try it, right now. Count to five breathing in to the belly, and count to five blowing out thru the mouth. Do this whenever possible, especially if you know an attack will come or your heart starts palpitating.
My anxiety symptoms are: heart palpitations, dried mouth, need to go potty, upset stomach, wierd sensations thru your whole body, skin feels wierd, not hungry, scared to go anywhere, afraid of noise, bright lights, and crowded places. also thing that you are going insane, going crazy, at least thats how i felt.
So the next time you experience these symptoms or have trouble breathing, practice the deep breathing techniques. Practice with your baby. Watch him as he's sleeping. Sit comfortable and watch your baby breath and sleep as your practicing breathing also. But of course you're gonna breath slower then he, because he's just a baby. Or u can close your eyes and picture the beach. Thats what i do and it always works for me. My anxiety went away but sometimes i get a little anxiety and i just do my breathing and it goes away.

don't hesitate to email me anytime!!

hope this helps! Good luck!

Well first take a deep breath. I know how u feel I hated how people say"to just stop thinking about it" but try to get help and distract yourself also try to get ur anxiety out in a healthy or helpful way.

You have more paranoia than anxiety. My anxiety comes from new places, social settings, crowds, new things, pretty much anything. High blood pressure is nothing to be alarmed about. It's actually a genetic thing. I have two heart problems, one being tachycardia, which makes my blood pressure quite high. (A faster heart beat is all tachycardia is.) This high blood pressure is actually normal for me. When you go to the psychiatrist (not psychologist. medication will help your anxiety/paranoia) just tell them of your worries and they can prescribe you something that will help.

We are going to have to have a talk. I am having some weird symptoms and they told me the same thing. It's anxiety. Deep in my heart I feel it is something else. I have had blood work done and well as an EKG and everything came back normal. I do no suffer from high blood pressure. Get my email and we can chat.

Aw i know how you feel! Anxiety stinks! Some major symptoms are sweaty palms, heart palputations, heavy breathing, panic atacks, trouble focusing, loss or gain of appitite, and trouble sleeping. Talk to you phycologist about getting on medication because you cant just 'stop worring about it.' It doesnt work that way! Good luck! I hope you feel better soon!

Do yourself a favor & do a search of anxiety symptoms & then relax.

I know of people who had every medical test in the book, and sometimes more than once, feeling like they had every disease in the book, and it was all anxiety.

Yes, anxiety can cause many physical symptoms, inlcuding racing heart, excessive sweating, dizziness, blurred vision, panic, fear of leaving your house, out of body sensations & on & on.

High blood pressure can be easily controlled with the meds they gave you, so try not to worry about that.

Everytimg I go to the dr. my blood pressure is sky high. They put me on blood pressure meds, I got so sleepy, I could not stay awake & my pressure was so low it was unhealthy. My pressure was not high, it is what is called "white coat syndrome" or fear of doctors & hospitals!
