If this happens a lot, it sounds like panic attacks. I have panic disorder and went on Paxil (20 mg) in the a.m. and Gabapentin (500 mg) after supper. This combination has made my life so much better for the last 5 years, although the first couple of weeks on the Paxil was hard due to the temporary side effects. See a doctor if you are getting this a lot. You need to look after yourself before you can do anything about anything, so see the doctor, get some exercise and make sure you are eating properly (cut back on sugar for sure) . If sleep is a problem, it may be related to the anxiety.
