90% of the time nightmares are caused by thoughts floating around in your subconscious being- they usually build up during the day and so called "come alive" at night when you come. Remember to always think positive, stay as cheerful as possible, and if you have any problems, please do talk to them with someone else.

I used to get nightmares very frequently, sometimes once every night. Once I had some niggling worries that I pushed to the back of my mind, and I actually forgot about them after awhile, but they appeared as nightmares instead. Never keep troubles too long inside of you- even if you forget them after awhile, they might reappear as nightmares.

Also, have you been watching/reading any disturbing or frightening material recently? That's a huge factor as well.

You need to try relaxing before you go to bed. Don't do anything like playing computer games or anything like that before you go to bed. Trying listening to some music just before you go to sleep (NOT heavy metal!).

try to think a bout something you really like and if u have a boy friend think of him or talk to him before u sleep or try to remember something cool or a have a nice shower
do one of these thing before u sleep and im sure that the Nightmares will go away ;)

look into meditation. it helped me.
which will help you delve into your subconscious and hopefully help you figure out why you conjure up such wild thoughts in your sleep.

(which is what i would say if i was only allowed one sentence to describe the role meditation has played in my nightmare life)

You might have a scary thought in your head, try shaking it out, maybe talking with your parents asking for ideas before you go to sleep, you might be a bit paranoied about it but im sure if you think happy thoughts , it will be awesome

Have a nice sleep!

talk to me :-)

For one so young, maybe you haven't heard yet of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). Please spend time surfing it. Try www.emofree.com or via www.mercola.com. This technique has helped a lot of people and am pretty sure it can help you. Keep an open mind and just try it. You have nothing to lose but so much to gain. What really impressed me most was when I watched the DVD about the war veterans from Vietnam. Apparently, a lot of these soldiers were never the same or were never their usual self after their tour of duty in Vietnam. They had their share of nightmares and EFT has helped them a lot. God bless.

try not to eat sugary or caffeine things before bed and try not to eat after 7:30pm if you do have a glass of water or milk and then wind your body down before sleeping like read a pleasant book before nodding off

okay perhaps you haven't read any dream books? i don't know if you know this but a lot of nightmares happen because of your digestive system. like that your body is functioning when you are asleep. also there are dreams that you may think of deep inside that may have an alternate meaning than what you SEE in your dreams. kind of like metaphors. Or these dreams could be a desire that you can't do in reality, and maybe you have felt a certain way or felt guilty about whatever it was. it may seem scary but if it is a real true dream, it is there to help you overcome things in your awake life. i hope you don't have to have any more nightmares. best wishes and sweet dreams-an
