Please contact your OBGYN today. There is no reason that you should go another day feeling this way. Your doctor will be able to provide you with a psychiatrist that will be helpful in your situation. It is very possible that you are suffering from postpartum depression or postpartum anxiety disorder . Due to the huge changes in hormones after giving birth, some women experience postpardum symptoms. You are definitely experiencing a lot of anxiety. If you had some anxiety or depression prior to pregnancy, the hormonal changes could have now made it worse.

You do not deserve to suffer in this way. Your baby and your husband deserve to have the real you- not the you being controlled by anxiety and bad thoughts. You will be much happier once these bad/controlling thoughts have stopped.

Do yourself and your family a huge favor and call the doctor and start treatment. You will feel so much better.

Definately sounds like OCD to me, without a doubt.....

See a doctor. Whatever it is, you need treatment.

Sounds like possibly OCD or a bad form of Anxiety Disorder NOS. I'd recommend seeing a psychiatrist. This doesn't sound like Bipolar disorder though. At least nothing I ever encountered in my line of work.

if what you say is true, you have ocd. I've been diagnosed with it and know all the symptoms. I was also forced to read excessive material on the subject. You have a lot of symptoms that I have.
-you worry people around you will get hurt.
-you have a problem with certain numbers.
-you had to take showers 2-3x a day.
-bad images come into your mind and are hard to control.(These are usually violent or sexual thoughts that the person finds disgusting and wouldn't consider in reality)
-if you don't perform certain tasks you feel that something bad will happen.
-feeling that breastfeeding is inappropriate probably has to do with the images in your mind that bother you
-excessively doubting things is another symptom
-depending on how detail-oriented you are that could be yet another serious symptom.

If I were to diagnose you, I'dhave no doubt in my mindthat it's OCD. I've had the same symptoms since I was a small child, and after I saw a proffessional and got treatment, I was much happier. I haven't had any symptoms since I was treated! It's awesome!
