Whats the difference between depression and bi polar?!

Question: when you are depressed you are just down all the time but with bipolar disorder or manic depression you suffer ups where you are very happy or impulsive and then can go from up to down in a split second and be very depressed for awhile. Your mood can change a few times a day or a few times a month. It all depends on the person.

Depression is just being "sad" all of the time, bi polar is going between being "sad" and "manic." Manic is a decreased need for sleep or food, racing thoughts, stuff like that.
