My sister is bipolar?!

Your depression is likely caused from your hormones trying to return to normal after giving birth. If you continue to experience depression...talk to your Dr about it. You cannot "catch" bipolar disorder but it does run in families.
You don't catch it from other people. But mental illness does tend to be genetically linked. If your parents are bi polar that may be a stronger sign that you could be.
it doesnt work like that if u r a new mum u probaly have post natal depression go talk to your doctor nowadays they can help u so much
