Those pills can make you feel worse, your best bet is to go see a councilor.
Also you could try going for long relaxing walks and just clearing your mind.

U need to be strong for this question.

I would try to deal with depression through a healthy diet and exercise. Try getting out in the sun if you can. Make sure you are getting enough aminos and eat spinach. Seriously, try it.

speak to your doctor about paxil.

usually these types of medications take 6 weeks to work for your brain chemistry to adjust to it.

but if its making you feel worse and worse, then you MUST speak to your doctor and he will discontinue it or switch you to something else

You should contact your doctor immediately and see about trying another medication. Depression is nothing to fool around with, especially if it's getting worse. Take care of yourself.

hmmm....Well, my 1st thought is that just 2-days...is not nearly enough to be able to 'feel' anything....Esp. from a mood enhancement type of Drug...

I would definitely be asking my Doctor for the advice, range, etc. Someone that knows your history, etc. Surely he/she must have given you some guidance of dosage, time it will take, etc...

Putting out this type of question here, in a 'generic' sense is to No or very little value for you. These drugs are supposed to effect your serotonin levels, in your brain....

Get good & sound advice, from someone who has a clue as to your history, etc..is the best thing for you....IMHO...

Good Luck...& hang in there....

You need to call your doctor before you make any decision regarding stopping the medication, it can take as long as 4 weeks for the medication to be at full clinical strength in your system. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain so medication is usually warranted but sometimes it takes a little patience to find the one that works for you.

Medication, proper diet, exercise and therapy work together for the best treatment results.

: Brother, I recommend you ask the doctor. It may be one of two things:
-Either your body has to adjust to the medication, and it will take you 'down' BEFORE it takes you 'up'.
-Or it is reacting to either something you ate or if you are on any other medication.
What I am surprised and shocked about, is the doctor didn't tell you what to expect.

In the mean time, here's something proactive you can do, that has been practiced by Indian & Asian natural medicine healers that works well to provide relief:

Sit or lay down in a comfortable position. (I do this sitting on a comfortable couch). Now breathe gently OUT through your nose, as much as you can, and then breathe gently IN as far as you can. Be sure to do it gently, and slowly. Make sure you pay attention to the SOUND AND FEELING of your breathing. Imagine your breathing as something FLOWING, like a river. 'SEE' in your mind the river. Continue to repeat the breathing in and out, In and OUT, for about 5-10 minutes. After a few minutes, you will be at peace. FOCUS on the SOUND of your own breathing. Push out any other thoughts aside. Make thinking about the breathing as top priority.
I could tell you why it works, but until you experience it first, it wouldn't work as well. ASK me later, after you have done the exercise, why it works. I will share it with you.

just double the dose the doctor gave you...
