Does paxil suppose to make me feel so tired and weak?!

Question: I have been taking paxil for 2 days now, and today I feel really tired and weak for some reason. I was better off before when I wasnt taking this. I was taking this for a lil depression that I had, but for some reason now I feel somewhat worst and tired. And I gotta go to work tomorrow! is there something else I can do to cope with this? Its just that I seperated from my fiance and she is living at her moms house for a bit, but we are getting back toghether but I still miss her so much and it hurts! HELP, what should I do?

My experience with Paxil was characterized by extreme fatigue. I could hardly drag myself out of bed, my energy felt so thoroughly depleted.

I don't think that happens with everyone. But I had to quit taking it because it pretty much wrecked me as a result of those effects.

stop the paxil and deal with your pain like a man... damn paxil, everyone with a small problems want to get some paxils now .

Just have some mild meds like Ativan or something you can take once in a while when things get really rough.. paxil is a long term drug, and make you tired all the time.

There are many SSRI's. Some work different for different people. You need to report any side effects to your doctor immediately. They can let you try an alternate anti-depressant such as Wellbutrin or Celexa. If you are unable to tolerate SSRI's altogether, Saint John's Wort works pretty good and is sold as an herbal supplement, but don't mix the 2.
