How can I motivate myself to want to get up in the morning?!

Question: I find that the best way to become a morning person is to get up and do just a few pushups or something else physical, as soon as you are conscious. If at first you don't feel like it, that's okay, don't listen to your feelings, because doing so is what is holding you back. In a few days your body will adjust and want to spring into action and your feelings will change. It takes a little time, but believe me, it works, and it will keep you going.

the best coffee you've ever tasted. thats what I do. I go to bed thinking about coffee. So when i wake up i go straight to the stove and start it.

leave the alarm clock at the other side of you room!lol!

Get two alarm clocks and place them on both sides of your bedroom. Set these clocks 5 minutes apart from each other, with no snooze. Don't go back to bed, just stay up and get things going. You'll get used to getting up in no time.

When I wake up I mistakenly take my feeling of tiredness as evidence that I must need more sleep. When in fact I just need to stay awake to prove it was a waking up problem, not a lack of sleep or tiredness problem.

As for getting out of bed, I'd write a list starting with four headings.

a) benefits of staying in bed.

b)benefits of getting out of bed

c)cost of staying in bed

d)cost of getting out of bed.
