Try complimenting someone every day. Get involved in something you like. Realize what you can and can't change. Learn to walk away from the things you can't change. (That is for God to do and he doesn't need our help! :] I am learning that one!) Start noticing beautiful things around you.

Just work on changing your way of thinking one thing at a time. If there is someone that is alway getting you down or you feel that you always have to "mother" try complimenting them more on the things they do well. You will be surprised how things will change for you.

Most improtant, Have something to look forward to. Set a goal, get in a class you love, join a group. And don't miss a day of that activity! That helps too. Keep praying, God will look out for you. But remember, God helps those who help themselves!
Have a wonder ful day. You are the "Apple" of someone's eye!

Don't Worry, be happy
look for all the positive things in your life every day

You can't be less pessimistic because everything really does suck.

if you find out let me know, because I am the same way!I do know that some people just are more positive social creatures and others just are not try to use your negative gloomy attitude towards being creative some of the best artist and musicians are dark and negative:)

Think more about what you want and less about what you don't have. Create positive associations with what you want and know whole-heartedly that those things will come to you simply because you want and deserve them to. This should start to shift your thinking patterns. Remember, practice makes perfect. Good Luck.

catch yourself when you're thinking negatively. tell yourself you're being unreasonable and follow it with a positive statement. if that doesn't work, see your doctor, you may have depression and that, trust me, that does not go away on its own.

you need to pray be healthy and do right things and be aware and dont be turning into sumting your not like this girl

dont foucas on being happy and praying to god to be happy. just go out with your friends and try to not think of the fact that you "dark" and etc. just have a good time, and things will get more postive in your life and mind :)

imagine if everyone in the world had a positive outlook on whatever happened. we proabably wouldnt be here right now, or atleast would be living in a cage... and being positive about it.

in my opinion pesimists do more for the world than optimists. optimists can be fine with whatever happens... and that type of thinking scares me. i'd rather have my eyes open and see things for what they are, if it makes me negative then so be it. it reflects a greater depth of feeling, it shows you care.

making yourself smile for about a minute actually makes your brain think that you are happy
weird but true
try it!

Watch some anime series. Who could be more annoyingly happy then those happy-go-lucky characters? You can't help but smile.

SMILE! have confidence..I've been there, before and what I loved to do was listen to bob marley..."I said no worries, about a thing..every little thing will be alright..now worries no cry" listen to the song turn it up loud and sing it and believe it :)

Try focusing on the positive things that happen to you and ignoring the negative. Positive and negative things happen to everyone, what makes someone a positive person is what they choose to focus on.

Try this exercise; each time you think a negative thought or start being jealous of someone, list the positive things about YOU on your one hand (i.e. you should be able to find at least one positive thing). And also remind yourself that while people might look like they have it all, you don't know the full story, sometimes if you knew everything or how someone got rich or where they are, you would not being willing to make the sacrifices they did. Also remember that a lot of people wearing designer stuff etc. have a LOT of credit card debt.

I also like to start each day by telling myself the things I am grateful for or the things that are going well in my life at the moment.

Also, here are some exercises to try from Oprah's site:

Be well!

Firstly, keep praying! Secondly, check out this resource www.moodgym.anu.edu.au

It's designed to help you get a handle on your thoughts, particularly when they're getting a bit warped. I found it really useful, both for myself and for clients i've worked with in the past.

Hope you find it helpful too! But if things get worse, you might want to check in with your doctor as these things can be early signs of depression. Best of luck.

Maintain a positive outlook, and be determinedly optimistic, even when the circumstances don't warrant it, for the benefits it will bring, later. If you become aware that you have backslid into your former internal monologue, (self talk) use the technique for reprogramming negative thoughts, in section 2, and 2L, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris To help them in this: some people carry a wide rubber band in their pocket: put it on their wrist; stretch, and release, as a means of reinforcing it, and speeding up the process, re-pocketing it afterwards, but I regard this as being purely optional. 10 commandments: Covet not thy neighbour's *** ...

there is something you can do, and praying will definately help
there are things called affirmations, which is repeating a phrase that you are comfortable with, such as "I feel great'
but you have to say it alot, and for months, and your subcontious will believe it,
if you can work on changing your thinking things will change
and maybe you are depressed, and could see a doctor
