Am I a Hypochondriac and over anxious?!

Question: So I'm 14, almost 15, and I really am certain I'm a hypochondriac.I worry over the silliest things, like when I watch a medical show and someone is deathly ill I keep feeling like I have symptoms of it and I freak out, and I usually ask my parents or whoever's around me if I'm OK, or if I'm going to die. For the past 6 months I've had chest pain and I can't stand it I keep thinking I'm going to have a heart attack but I know that sounds ridiculous... I am so freaked out about getting deathly ill or dying that I keep looking up serious diseases and trying to find out if I have symptoms of it. I often get some pains in my arms and legs and basically all over and I'm wondering if it's just me or if I have a horrible disease. I am so worried that I am a hypochondriac that I get worried about stressing too much and causing myself to have a heart attack. It's gotten way out of hand.

Answers: All of your symptoms point to severe anxiety. I can also watch medical shows and start getting symptoms the patients get...and i have to tell myself to stop being silly..and realise its just my anxiety playing up as usual, Chest pains and uncontrollable shaking are also signs of anxiety. As are Nausea, Dry Mouth, Feeling like you can't breath, Shakeing, Dizziness, Fast heart Rate and many many more and they can really make u feel like you are about to die sometimes...and the more you think about it the worse it gets. Right now you need to try to get the the root of your problem...narrow it down to what started your anxiety attacks in the first place and then work out ways of avoiding them all together.

Good luck, Anxiety never goes away but you can find ways of dealing with it.
