If you avoid thinking?!

Question: about something...something that affects you badly....do you think that it will eventually creep up on you? Or in some way your body is connected to your mind and your body could suffer?

Might be a strange question, i know.

Answers: I think too much and I go as far as to think about things that affected me more than 5 years ago. It's not healthy for you and I can tell you right now, no matter how hard you try to put it out of your mind - it's still there. You need to accept the things that have happened, try to find it in your heart to forgive the people who may have done you wrong and move on in life. It's easier said then done, I know, but you'll feel a lot better and it will benefit you in the long run. I had what I like to call a traumatic high school experience (I like to refer to it as 'truamatic') and I was severely depressed, ADHD, friends backstabbed me, boyfriends cheated on me and maybe because I was so young and naive, everything hit me like a TON of bricks. I had never experienced so much drama and heartache all at once and I was overwhelmed and devastated. The reason why I'm telling you this, is because to me, that was traumatic. Obviously everyone's definition of 'traumatic' will apply differently but in my opinion, that was a traumatizing experience and it was so traumatizing that it completely changed the person I was (happy, bubbly, outgoing - angry, sad, tired,) and to THIS DAY - I have never stopped thinking about it. I tell myself everything's okay and I'm happy, but deep down I know the truth and I know that is NOT true. You need to bring things to the surface and really deal with them or else you could be affected the rest of your life. I'm still depressed, I have anxiety, I have major mood swings, I cry at the drop of a pin - my whole hormonal situation is just out of whack - all because I didn't get the help I needed when I was younger and never talked about it with anyone. I thought nothing was going on, but boy was I wrong.
