Im really scared of gaining weight with celexa.?!
Question: i work out very hard about 6 times a week.
and i eat really really healthily.
however, my doctor recently prescribed me celexa, and i am absolutely petrified of gaining weight. (i struggled with deep depression and an eating disorder and was hospitalized. now i am so much better, and am at a healthy weight. i struggled with anxiety and need a mood stabilizer so he put me on celexa)
i have heard it makes you gain weight, i am on 10mg. but i cant even afford "10 pounds of weight gain" it is just...unacceptable.
i don't want to be a bother and stop it and have drama for stopping it because im scared of weight gain...but i really am terrified i cant stop thinking about it!
what should i do? does anyone know if theres a way i can tell if it will make ME personally gain weight without waiting 6 weeks? i cant possibly lose all the work ive done at the gym by taking a medicine that will slow my metabolism and make me gain weight
someone really help me, i'm desperate.
Answers: Celexa is not as much of a weight gain drug as some of the others so I would not be worried. It is a good drug for depression associated with mood disorders and body dismorphic disorder and anxiety. 10mg is not a high dose ( 20mg is usually the starting dose) so you won't notice as many side effects as that dose.
