Answers: First of all, in order to self-diagnose yourself in this realm you need to ascertain your current life situation:

Are you still in high school? If so is it your final year? This is often a very pressure-filled time and exhibiting nervous behaviour is very normal at this time. Similarly, if you have just left school or a job or institution of any kind, you may have an empty, unfulfilled, worry about "what's next?" This is also very normal and is very unlikely to be anything serious.

Depression exhibits different symptoms. I was depressed after school ended because I didn't know my place in the world. I was no longer a child but not quite an adult and didn't feel I belonged to any particular social group. I had low energy, LOW mood, I stayed in bed 12 hours a day. I would often come from work and go straight to bed, no music or anything then get up the next day and the cycle would repeat.

I found that what solved this was my friends. Realising that people invariably experience the same things at one stage or another and from this you can seek solice and a state of calm.

I implore to talk to people you trust, such as a family member outside of your immediate family such as a cousin or aunt/uncle. Someone you feel you have a special bond with that will be truly honest with you rather than try to protect and mollycoddle. Either that or your best friend but be very selective in who you choose to speak with especially if you're still young.

If you have poor concentration levels, perhaps you are simply dehydrated, try drinking at least 2 litres of water a day, no soda, alcohol etc, just water for a week and then see if you can focus better.

Sometimes the answer is simple, but do not brush it under the carpet and pretend it's not there. Some things go unnoticed for years.

Best wishes and regards.
