Bipolar rehab?!
Question: Are there any "rehab" centers that offer treatment for bipolar?
I seriously need to get my life and my health in better shape but I dont have health insurance or any money
Answers: My husband has battled with bipolar for many years. I stress the word battle!
First, all hospitals will take you - and help you get coverage for your bill.
My husband (even with my loving support and ALL of his family & freinds)....checks himself into hospitals at least once a year.
Bipolar....can be tricky. He knows when his "levels" are not well, he needs to get help immediately - or he could do something stupid. So he will run to an ER and tell them he needs help, doesnt trust himself etc. *there is more to my hubby.....he has seizures/a traumatic brain injury and severe depression*. But his MAIN problem is the bipolar.
Anywho, he loves hospital programs to get him "back on track" or to re-assess himself. He loves being in group, to hear he is not the only person struggling, he love HELPING others... he also enjoys what they teach him to use to make it on the outside.
I realize its not typical to keep going back (believe me it frustrates me...) but my point is - these programs work so well for him, he feels it to be a safety net.
So my advice would be go in, tell them you dont have coverage and you need help desperately. Make sure they get you help (with the coverage). Then make this trip worthwhile.
The good news is - if you need additional treatment, they will get you into other facilities as well, and they will make sure you are covered for that too!!!
