Cutting friend?!
Question: i have a friend who cuts herself.
she talks to my other friend because shes been there, she used to cut and quit cuz found out it want worth it.
when confronted by the ex-cutter, she takes things lightly, like "ahah yeah im just emo, jk jk" stuff like that.
what should i do?
she doesnt know that i know.
and i dont want to embarrass her by getting professional help, but i would rather try this without making things harder on her.
we cant tell her parents, cuz thats what makes her cut.
her moms a hardass and her dads a dumbass.
any words of wisdom? cuz its needed.
Answers: i would wait for her to realise that cutting isnt something you should joke about and maybe shes using that as cover from how she really feels by it. i know your trying to help but it doesn't really sound like theres anything you can do to help if she doesn't want to open up to you, i would keep it secret unless you think your friend is in over her head and if you made the right move she shouldn't blame you for being concerned for her. any form of selfharm is serious and shouldn't be taken lightly.
