I'm starting a new job after being unemployed for three years?!

Question: Please, I need your feed back. I've been unemployed for 3 years, and I'm starting a new job tomorrow. It's general labor work, however I've been out of touch with the labor market, that I'm going through a lot of anxiety. For starters not being able to land a job in three years shoots your self esteem to the lowest level and meeting new people is not one of my best quality combine this together and I'm freaking out emotionally. How would you deal with this type of nagective mental outlook?
Please any positive feed back will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Starting something new for me is like going to unfamiliar territory, I project the worst outcome. How do you deal with starting a new job?

Answers: I have a college degree but I am a bus driver. I am proud to be working. Smile and be happy to be working and do not worry. Do your best even when others try to tell you not to because you could get promoted. When your confidence returns consider what other opportunities might be available. You will be happy you are working. Remember bosses can be weird so just smile and do what they ask as long as it is in your job classification etc. If they want things done one way one day and another way another day so what? You are being paid to do what they want right? Smile. Be proud you are a laborer and you landed the job with a big gap in employment. I am proud of you. Love, Janie.
