Is it klonopin withdrawal or nicotine withdrawal?!
Question: Is it klonopin withdrawal or nicotine withdrawal!?
Three weeks ago, was told to just"stop" the low dose, of 1mg a night of Klonopin!. I didn't, instead, I cut it to half, for two weeks!.
During this time, I still smoked( I had been down to 5- 10 cigarettes in the evenings only, for years!.
This was not an easy time to stop Klonopin, because I came down with the flu, the same day the dr told me to stop them!. BUT I proceeded to anyway!.
I was given Neurontin( Gabapentin), to help control the withdrawal- it's an anti convulsant med and also used for many other things!.
When I finally went down to no pill, ( almost 2 weeks ago) that is when the horror began!. Tremors, shakes, anxiety, naseau, head rushes, difficulty swallowing, insomnia really bad, and more!.
WHY the severe symptoms!? It was only 1mg at night, for years!.!. is my body so dependant on it!? I am nearing my second week off of it, and no cigarettes too, and I am a mess!.

probably it is mostly cigarettes!. 1 mg or even 1/2 mg of klonopin(cut in half) would not ordinarily result in severe withdrawals!.how many years were you on klonopin!?
Neurontin is an anti-convulsant primarily used to control epileptic seizures!. The side effects of thay are generally very minimal so i don't think it would be the neurontin!.
I would lean more towards it is cigarette withdrawals which CAN cause severe sympoms such as insomnia and headaches and extreme anxiety!.Try using a low dose nicotine patch,(avoid cigarettes and congratulations on quitting) if the symptoms stop or decrease then you will recognize that those are a result of nicotine withdrawal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its both mostly cigarettes i was on klonopin 10mg and it did nothing i took it for 1 day then it ****** up my head n i took 28 and i was in the hospital for 30 days stay away from meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yeah is the k-pins your going through benzo withdrawal most docs wont tell you to just stop they should have put you on !.25mg wafers and slowly taper your dose down from 1mg at least that's what they did for me i was on 1mg a day also but only for 4 months

It's nice to clean everything up !.!.!. but stick to one thing at a time!. first get off the klonopin !.!.!. then when you're back to being yourself ,you can quit smoking !.!.!. trying to do everything at once is a way to set yourself up for failure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
