You're doing good!.!.!.already!

You know why!? Because you're at the point where you've realized you've got a problem!.!.with something (whatever it is)!. And that, is the **hardest** part, for so many folks that have problems!.!.!.just the "seeing it" part!.

The second good thing is that you've realized you're doing something you don't like, and you want to change things!. Good stuff!

One thing that can help you is the realization that you're not alone in having your difficulty!. A lot of times, people tend to feel like "no one else in the whole world has ever had this problem"!.!.!.along with a lot of shame and guilt!. Once they find out that other people have dealt with the same problem, and felt the same feelings, it's automatically comforting!. That's part of the reason that groups (like Alcoholics Anonymous, or Gamblers Anonymous, etc)help people with addictions!.

There's a LOT of self-help groups, and a lot of self-help books out there!. Now that you are ready to make some changes in your life, don't stop!.!.!.find information about your situation, to give you some ideas, some answers!. Use the web!.!.!.push yourself to keep going, when you feel like you want to give up!. Whatever your addiction is, there's information out there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Step Away from the Shoes!. Just stay away from the Mall!. No more lunchs with the Girls!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep yourself busy!. If it's something you don't want to share with the world, go out! You'll have your mind on other things!. And if the temptation does come up, you won't have the opportunity to indulge 'cause you'll be surrounded by people

Eventually you'll have to catch yourself before you continue this addiction!. Stop and ask yourself if you want to get better or not!. Addictions take time getting over!. People slip up and just know that that's okay!. Rome wasn't built in a day!. Just remember to get back on focusWww@Answer-Health@Com

start to excersise and eat healthy, it will improve your self confidence therefore stopping an addicitonWww@Answer-Health@Com

Humans are creatures of habit, you need to break the routine!. Try doing something entirely different so you can keep your mind from wandering back to the addictive behavior!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds lame but this is what has worked for me!. It started with cigarettes!. I smoked for 5 years and when I finally quit, I found out the easiest way to quit was to just quit buying them!. It sounds simple, but it is the biggest step in solving an addiction!.

Apply the concept to whatever!. Addicted to tv!? Don't turn it on!. Addicted to the computer!? Don't sit down at it!. Addicted to pop!? Don't buy it!.

Also, don't bait yourself into relapsing once you've quit!. "A few minutes of TV won't hurt me" To an addictive personality, a few minutes will ALWAYS turn into much more, and its the same in every scenario!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try to keep your mind off of it by doing other things!. You can try a new type of exercise or by talking with friends!. If it is an item that you are addicted to, you can "hide" it in a place that is hard to get to!. That way every time you want it, it will be hard to get to!. If it is an emotional addiction, every time you think of it, you can go watch T!.V!., or talk with a friend!. Do stuff to get your mind off of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
